FAQ
Bluemont Advisory is a boutique consulting firm made up of seasoned professionals providing fractional executive support across compliance, regulatory affairs, governance, and business operations. We’re not a law firm. We’re not a staffing agency. We’re something in between: strategic advisors who roll up our sleeves and help you get things done.
We support organizations of all sizes. Our clients include startups, scale-ups, city/state/federal government, and large companies — especially those in fintech, health tech, and IT security. Most of our clients are navigating complex regulatory environments, scaling internal controls, conducting internal investigations, or preparing for investor scrutiny.
Some are. Others are policy experts, operations specialists, or former in-house executives. Everyone on our team has deep experience in their field and a track record of supporting fast-moving companies. We do require our consultants to keep their credentials active, but it’s up to each client to confirm licensing and insurance as appropriate for the scope of work.
That’s why we exist. Whether you're a founder or a Fortune 500 executive: when you're facing a rapidly evolving situation, you often don’t know what to ask, and that’s okay. Our job is to help you figure that out. Reach out. We’re happy to talk things through, even if all you have right now is a vague sense that you need help.
Your first consult is on us. We do this to assess scope and determine if we're the right fit.
Our team has handled a wide variety of engagements across industries and disciplines. Recent work includes:
• Developing customized training modules to comply with state-mandated compliance requirements for clients who preferred not to enter into long-term contracts with platforms like Ethena.
• Setting up internal administrative workflows for remote-first companies transitioning to minimal front-office footprints.
• Drafting and negotiating joint venture agreements.
• Conducting regulatory and operational due diligence on behalf of startups and early-stage investors.
• Performing internal audits to assess compliance with bank-fintech partner agreements.
• Drafting technical copy and collateral for the Sales and Marketing teams of SaaS companies.
• Conducting political risk analysis for enterprise clients exploring expansion into LATAM and EMEA markets.
• Guiding a Series B startup through its first SOC 2 audit — with no findings.
• Building an end-to-end workflow tool for AML (Anti-Money Laundering) risk reviews.
• Translating required consumer disclosures into eight different languages for a client’s global-facing website.
• Conduct strategic benefits assessment for data-driven collective bargaining.
• Resolved complex workplace challenges with internal investigations and restructuring that improved workforce morale and increased employee retention.
• Helping our favorite local plumber, Sam, automate his billing and receivables with a custom-built mobile app.
We tailor our work to each client’s needs.
